Improved Brandy Cocktail

Ingredients

2 oz Brandy
(rye whiskey or genever are excellent substitutes) 
1 tsp Simple Syrup
1/2 tsp Maraschino Liqueur
1 dash Absinthe
2 dashes Boker’s bitters (or substitute Angostura)

Garnish

Lemon Twist

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a mixing glass.
Stir until chilled.
Then wash the inside of a neat glass, coupe or cocktail glass with absinthe either with an atomizer or swirling in the glass.
Strain cocktail into glass.
Zest a lemon twist over the cocktail.
Garnish with the lemon twist.
Enjoy!
