A rum banana milk shake from Trader Vic, created in the 1940’s this is my own take on the drink. I made a few modifications to play up the banana flavor.

Ingredients

 

OZML

• 1 1/2 oz Jamaica Rum aged, such as Denizen Merchant’s Reserve
• 1/2 oz Banana Liqueur
• 3 oz Milk
• 1/4 oz Simple Syrup
• 1 dash Angostura Bitters
• 1 dash Vanilla Extract

Top

• Nutmeg fresh grated

Instructions

 

• Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker.
• Shake with ice for 8-10.
• Strain into a coupe or cocktail glass.
• Enjoy!
